Authors are invited to submit complete and original papers, which have not been published elsewhere. Each manuscript prepared for IJAC must fall into one of the following categories:
(1) Original research papers
Articles will be full-length papers (3000 - 5000 words,
maximum length 6000
words) reporting well-defined system implementation, theoretical results
and empirical studies that have potential impact on understanding of computational,
cognitive, and physical foundations, as well as the enabling technologies
for developing and applying Architectural Computing systems. It is assumed
that the ideas presented are important, have been well implemented, analyzed
or empirically validated, and are of value to Architectural Computing research
community.
(2) State-of-the-art reviews
Articles can also be state-of-the-art reviews, which will be either perspective tutorial articles in rapidly evolving fields or comprehensive scholarly reviews of significant topics.
(3) Short papers
A brief paper presents results that are important and original and are presented in concise form.
(4) Letters and book reviews
A letter is used to convey only a few principal ideas or to comment on current issues previously published in the IJAC or other Architectural Computing conferences and journals.
Please send enquiries, or proposed entries for consideration, for the Letters (up to 500 words) and book reviews (around 500 words) sections of the journal to two of the Journal editors.
The manuscripts submitted to IJAC are subjected to a rigorous review process handled by the Editors-in-Chief and designated Editorial Board Member(s).
In order to facilitate the review process, authors are required to mark the topics (in the email correspondence) to which their submissions are most relevant.
