Five sibling CAD organizations, including eCAADe, have joined together to support the creation of the International Journal of Architectural Computing (IJAC). Every year, IJAC publishes four issues that feature the same cover design. For 2007, eCAADe is conducting a competition to choose the cover image of IJAC in 2008.
Prize
The winning image will be used as the cover of the journal and the author
credited inside the front cover. Additionally, an award certificate will
be given to the author(s) of the winning image and
there will be prizes for the winners.
First prize: 250 Euros
Second Prize: 150 Euros
Third Prize: 100 Euros

Selection Process
The eCAADe administrative committee will review and choose the winning image
by an anonymous voting system. Examples of the 2007 winner and runners
up are shown on this page.
Entrants should be students at a University in the eCAADe region (Europe
and its periphery) at some time during 2007.
Submission Requirements
1. The image should suggest the nature of the discipline and provide an
intriguing visual composition.
2. It should work well with the other graphics on the page, in particular
the letters IJAC in the top right (see sample at http://www.architecturalcomputing.org/).
3. Look good at the right proportions (about 200mm x 250mm), or in other
words portrait format in the ratio 4:5.
4. The resolution should be 300dpi and the size of the cover picture (including
bleed at the edges) is 194mm x 248mm.
5. Image format is recommended to be either TIFF or very moderately compressed
JPG
6. Include your name, full contact information, e-mail
address, title of image, date image was created, context and description
of image (describe the project or course it was created for etc.), list
the software used to create the image.
7. Send image as an attachment to an e-mail message to IJAC@liv.ac.uk with the subject "IJAC
Cover Image Competition"
8. Deadline for submissions is December 3rd, 2007
